APPARELL
All drivers are required to wear a full-face helmet, a racing or track-approved jacket or race suit, closed-toe shoes, racing gloves, and a neck brace while driving. All of these items must remain in working order while on the race track (i.e., if the neck brace comes off, you will be black-flagged). All helmets must have a CLEAR VISOR and must remain in the down (closed) position during racing conditions. LONG PANTS ONLY. NO SHORTS ALLOWED.
RACE FORMATS
Once on the track, karts will travel the front straight at a moderate speed, on the left-hand side of the track, until all karts are on the track. Initial starts will be double-file and start between the cones in turn 3. The kart on the inside pole starts the race. If there are 3 bad starts, the suspect kart(s) will be penalized. Karts on the front row 2 will be moved back one row. Karts on other rows will go to the tail of the start.
Any kart causing 3 yellow flags will be disqualified. Any kart that spins, stops, or causes a yellow flag to be thrown goes to the rear upon restart. Any rough, inconsiderate, or dangerous driving can result in disqualification.
On restarts, all lapped traffic will go to the rear. Restarts are between the cones in Turn 3; however, no one can pass until they are past the cone.
Once a kart leaves the track and enters the pits under a yellow flag during the A Feature, it can only return if the yellow is still on. NO kart maintenance or repairs are allowed on the track. Pit area only.
The flagman has complete control of the race. The flagman may confer with other track officials regarding a particular call.
RED FLAG - Stop as quickly and safely as possible.
SCALES
After completion of any event, all transfer karts must proceed directly to the scales. Failing to go over the scales will result in a disqualification for that event. All dash karts must cross the scales.
CONDUCT
Any racer, whether minor or adult, is responsible for the conduct of their pit crew at all times. Officials have the right to suspend crew members and/or drivers at their discretion. FOUL LANGUAGE AND DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
SAFETY
All Karts must have a full rear bumper. All Karts must have a full body. Any driver who fails to drive in a safe manner will be subject to being "BLACK FLAGGED" off the track. Failure to obey the black flag could result in race suspension at the discretion of track officials.
DRIVING IN PITS: Karts must proceed through the pit area at a very slow speed. If you are caught going fast or cleaning your tires by doing donuts, you will be warned. If it happens again, you will be disqualified for the event.
NUMBERS
All karts must have numbers on two (2) sides. Minimum 6" numbers. All numbers must be clearly visible by scorers and must be in contrasting colors.
